SKF receives 2013 Quality Awards from General Motors

Gothenburg, 26 November 2013: General Motors recognized SKF demonstrating some of the highest levels of quality performance over the past 12 months.
"Receiving these awards from GM is truly rewarding. We always work hard to constantly improve our efficiency and performance to meet the requirements of our customers. This is the second year GM is honoring suppliers who are making noteworthy contributions to GM’s goal of providing the best overall customer experience in the automotive industry. This is the first time for SKF do Brasil Ltda, SKF Sealing Solutions Korea Co., Ltd., and SKF Sealing Solutions GmbH have received the Supplier Quality Excellence Award.
“Being a premium supplier, delivering the level of quality and performance appropriate to what the customer expects, is what we aim for daily. Receiving an award for delivering on what we promise is both prestigious and inspiring. Being recognized in this way by GM is an honor for us,” says Mr. Amadeo Comin, LAM Factory Cluster Manager, SKF do Brasil.
“This is the second award we have received from GM this year, including the 2012 Supplier of the Year award. Knowing we meet or exceed GM’s expectations is very satisfying. This means all our hard work, providing our customers with the correct value, is paying off. GM’s Supplier Quality Excellence Award is focused on improving collaboration with suppliers. Winning suppliers met more than 12 quality criteria during the 12 months ending June 30.
“SKF helped play a critical role in GM’s success in 2013 through their dedication and commitment to consistently exceed our expectations by being innovative, delivering high quality products and services on time and by creating outstanding value,” said Grace Lieblein, GM vice president, Global Purchasing and Supply Chain.
SKF supplies bearing and sealing solutions to GM for many different applications like wheel end, suspension, steering, driveline, engine and e-powertrain.
